This activity addresses the following Solomon Islands Year 7 Science Learning Outcomes for Unit 7.4: Energy
- 7.4.3 be able to show that energy can changed from one form to another (s)
- 7.4.3.1 demonstrate energy transformation in the following situations: lighting a match, dropping a coconut, kicking a soccer ball, writing in the book, brushing your hair
- 7.4.4 know that the total amount of energy remains the same during energy transformations (k)
- 7.4.4.1 state the law of conservation of energy: “Energy cannot be created nor destroyed, but can be changed from one form to another”
